Desco 07599 Neon Lime Heel Grounder

The Desco 07599 Neon Lime Heel Grounder is an adjustable ESD heel grounder designed to provide a reliable path-to-ground for operators wearing standard, non-ESD footwear. Used as part of an appropriate ESD flooring and footwear grounding system, it helps control static electricity and reduce the risk of electrostatic discharge in sensitive electronics manufacturing environments.

Featuring a high-visibility neon lime green fastening system, the Desco 07599 is easy to identify and provides an adjustable fit for most shoe sizes and styles. The hook-and-loop fastening system allows the heel grounder to be fitted securely and comfortably around the operator's footwear.

The 07599 incorporates a 1 megohm current-limiting resistor and a conductive grounding tab, providing controlled dissipation of electrostatic charge while supporting personnel grounding requirements. The conductive exterior makes contact with the ESD floor, while the non-marring interior helps prevent marks or damage to the operator's footwear.

Applications

The Desco 07599 is suitable for electronics manufacturing, PCB assembly, component handling, inspection, repair, laboratories and other ESD Protected Areas (EPAs) where effective personnel grounding is required.

For effective personnel grounding, Desco recommends wearing heel grounders on both feet. The 07599 is intended to be used with an appropriate ESD flooring system and should be regularly tested to verify continued performance.
